Mischa Travers joined Pivotal in 2022 and is the firm's US Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. He is responsible for overseeing the firm's US operations and legal and compliance functions as well as advising on legal and finance matters for portfolio companies and prospective investments. Before joining Pivotal Mr. Travers spent over 20 years in legal, finance, and operating roles across a range of organizations, including most recently as Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel at Cequence Security, a venture-backed cybersecurity software company. Prior to Cequence, he was a partner at Davis Polk & Wardwell where he advised technology and life sciences companies on mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, corporate governance, strategic partnerships, and SEC reporting and compliance issues and was ranked as one of Northern California's top corporate/M&A lawyers by Chambers USA. His finance experience include work as a partner and merger arbitrage specialist at Cutler Group, LP, a quantitative equity options market making firm, and as an investment banker focusing on the software industry at Credit Suisse First Boston. Mr. Travers holds a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and a B .S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
